In an effort to stay on schedule we arrive in numbers today to make a start on removing the roof. This is the first step to actually transporting the vehicle from the site that has been it’s home for the last 60 years. No.31 has been on this spot for longer than it was in service to the city!
Next visit will be to split the sides!
You are obviously going to have to be very serious next time and be careful not to laugh otherwise you might split your sides at the wrong time. Seriuosly it’s good to see you progessing so well. I was especially interested to see the efforts you took to record the detail on the roof boards. We found some very interersting marks on our 2 remaining roof planks only last week that I hope to photograph next week. In the meantime it’s off to Crich for a day crawling around Chesterfield 8 tomorrow.
All the best
Jamie
